What are domain statuses?
Domain statuses are codes defined by EPP (Extensible Provisioning Protocol) that describe a domain's registration state. A domain can carry several statuses at once, covering delete/renew/transfer/update prohibitions as well as transient pending operations. Statuses prefixed client‑ are set by the registrar, while server‑ statuses are set by the registry — the meaning is the same, only who set it differs.
